My Anchor

Hello Friends, Fans and Followers!!

So today's post is one for the sailors! My husband served in the Navy for 6 years and I love sailor and Navy themes. This card was so much fun to make! I started by using a CC designs image and coloring it with my Copics. I used fun papers from DCWV's All About Boys paper pack.

The inside will be finished to match the front.

Birthday Wishes

Hello Friends! So after a super long couple of days, I am really tired and barely making Christine's Challenge on time! Whew!!

So here I have made a very sweet birthday card for a precious girl.. I used a digi image from Whimsy and Stars Studio. She is Ballerina Teddy and a lot of fun to color! For her I colored her using my copics and added stickles to her crown, dress and star. I cut her out using my Spellbinders Labels 4 dies to cut her out and did a lot of playing with the layout. I added the flowers and brads and finished off the front with the sentiment "birthday wishes" by stampin' up! and punched out stars using my Paper Studio punches. I added some detail to the inside to complete the card as I figure it will become a keepsake for a memory or scrapbook by the recipient.  So without further a do.. here she is...
A Close up..
And finally, the inside..

So In Love

I absolutely L-O-V-E this Sweetheart set by The Greeting Farm!! They are so incredibly cute! I made the first one (blue) for my sister and her husband for Valentine's. The second one is for my mom and her guy and the last one I made for my sister-in-law to give her husband before he deploys. The sentiment has special meaning to them as "their song" and makes sense as when you are a military wife.. sometimes a phone call is all you have to hold on to. All three cards were colored with Copics and I used my Spellbinders Hearts Die and Spellbinders Labels 9 Die. The sentiments on the first two are courtesy of Ginger's House (Thank you much!)

Farm Fresh Challenge #14 Entry

Hi There! So today I have a super sweet wedding couple called Kissy Kissy by the Greeting Farm. It is a digital image I printed onto 80# card stock and colored with Copic markers.

I used My Mind's Eye designer papers and Tim Holtz Distressed Ink in Dusty Concord for the sentiment and inking around the image. I added Stardust Stickles to the bride's flowers, bow and ribbon on her dress.

MelJen's Designs Challenge #91 - Stars

Hello Again Everyone!! I am on a roll here!! I am loving these challenges and MelJen's is one of my favorites! Her images are super cute and fun to color!! Checkout Mel's Blog here.. and visit her shop here! You can't pass up some affordable $1.00 digis either!

So this week's challenge over at MelJen's blog is "Star" and for this challenge I have super sweet Girl and Her Kitty done with super cute pink and green patterned paper. I printed her on 80# card stock and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out using the largest die cut from Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 14 that my sister bought for me for my birthday! (Thank you Chrissy, I love you!) and inked the edges of all the papers to really tie them into together.. although, I do love inking/sponging whether it needs it or not! lol! Finally, I stamped my sentiment "for you friend" from Gina K's Nature's Greetings Stamp Kit, which I absolutely love! And punched it out using my EK Success 1" circle punch. I finished the inside to compliment your note.

Since the challenge is for "stars" I had to throw some on there. Funny though, just a couple days ago my mom and I were at Hobby Lobby and I found several star punches and embossing items I wanted.. I went with hearts instead and so had to improvise for this challenge. I decided to pull out my star brads from Christmas and add them.. I think they really pop on this card and add a very fun and bright element!

This card will be entered into Challenge #91 "stars"  over at MelJen's Blog.

CMC Challenge #34 Entry

I am so excited about this card!! I am absolutely IN LOVE with La-La-Land's Marci & Luka Collection! I love all of these images and am slowly building my collection!

So, with Valentine's just around the corner I have been working on my "love" cards. This one features Sweetheart Marci in a white, pink and black theme.

I started off by coloring her with my copic markers and die cutting her image with my cuttlebug. Since this die was the largest in this set I knew I had to sponge the edges to really tie her in with the rest of the card or her white background would just be too off and not match nicely with the color theme. But besides that, I love sponging!! I started sponging my Halloween cards and haven't stopped!! So once I got her all fixed up, I worked on my layout. My original thought was to have the black paper as my background, but I really liked the polka-dot paper right behind her and decided to go another way. The pink stripes are a nice contrast to the polka-dot, which I also cut out hearts with (and I had to sponge those too!!).. so after a bit of fiddling, this is how she turned out.

I decided to finish the inside to match. I thought it would really add to the card.
As the title suggests, this card will be entered into CMC Challenge #34!

Sharing with La-La Land Crafts Gallery!

Wish me luck!! =)

CMC Card Entry #1

Hello Everyone!

I am back with another challenge entry! This time it is for a group over at Color Me Creative. They have some amazing prizes up for grabs! So here I have my first entry. The challenge requirement is to use gold, cream & white. I hope to have time to get one more done as we are allowed up to two entries!

This pretty card was made using Kissy Kissy digi stamp by The Greeting Farm and the Sentiment is by Amy R over at All That Scraps. I stamped the sentiment in Gold ink and heat embossed it with clear powder. Both the bride and groom were colored with copics. For his suit and tie I used c3, c5, c7 & w3. For her dress, flowers and eye shadow I used r00 & r83.

This card was created for and will be entered into the CMC Gold, Cream & White Challenge
