Anya's Birthday Wishes

Hello Everyone!! I am so excited to show you all my newest creation! I created this card using Birthday Anya from The Greeting Farm and the sentiment "birthday wishes" from Stampin' Up's retired set called So Happy For You. I colored Anya using my *new* Prisma Color Artist Pencils (this is my 2nd creation using these pencils). I then die cut her out using my Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 9 and  sponged the edges to really make her pop. I had decided on the background paper before I colored her because I wanted her to be bright a colorful to match the paper. I think it came together well. I added the blue ribbon to finish off the front and finished the inside with matching papers to really make it special.

Thinking of You

This card was my first try using my *new* (insert huge smiley face here) Prisma Color Pencils and was a ton of fun! The card base is Kraft and the buttons are sewn on. The sentiment is Stampin' Up! My image is Pencil Pixie by Whimsie Doodles and she is super cute and fun to color. I am hoping to have my photo box and lights soon to help with the quality of my photos. I am really excited about that too!

Hello All! I hope you all are having a wonderful Valentine's Day and will be enjoying the day and/or evening with your valentines! I have another creation for you.. she is a digi image courtesy of Whimsie Doodles - they have some super cute images! For your Forever Love.. here she is..

I will be entering this cutie in the following challenges:

I have to dash now.. time to go pick up GS Cookies. My daughter sold 1,056 boxes last year and her goal is to do the same or better this year.. off we go, but before we do... here is a peek at the Valentine's we made for her class!

She colored and cut out each tag. I helped her attach them and curl the ribbon. It took a bit of work, but she was so happy with them! By far, better than from the store she says! I purchased them here Valentine Tags.

Waiting For My Sailor

Hello Everyone! I have been busy crafting away again! I am totally loving these challenges. The creativity is just flowing when I have a focal point (challenge theme) Diggin' it? Before I get to my creation, I will share.. my husband was in the Navy for 6 years. He was a Seabee. For those of you who don't know what that is the Navy has "two sides" the water side (fleet, sailors) and the land side (seabees). Seabees are the ones who deploy to areas that have been affected by natural disasters and they help rebuild. They are "Construction" type workers. Equipment Operators, Welders, Electricians, Mechanics, etc.. But they also go to war zones to hold down the camps and assist the Marines and Army. My husband went to Iraq for 8 months.. it was the longest 8 months of my life. I cherished every phone call and when I would hear bombs and mortars explode in the background he'd say, "I need to take cover. I love you." and hang up. Those minutes before he'd call again felt like years. Every military wife earns her ribbons and metals too. Even if there is no ceremony to honor her achievements. So without further a do, here is my project....

So for this card I started with CC Designs SugarPlum Emma. I started by printing her sitting on her bench on 80# card stock and coloring her with my Copics R83 & R85. I wanted her to be pink and white because Trevor (the boy sailor in a previous post) is in blue and white. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the layers of white in the background and the lacey oval die cut to frame Emma. The embossed hearts are cut from Spellbinders Classic Heart dies. I used We R Memories Sew Easy Twine to wrap the side for a little more color and printed the sentiments with my printer and punched them out using Stampin' Up Word Window and Modern Label punches. I used a little bit of Stardust Stickles on her hair ties and buttons for a little glimmer and finished of the inside for your sailor with hearts and a sweet *missing you*.

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

As always, thank you for visiting! Please follow, if you can! The more, the merrier!
